Where is the law of sin? In his.... Members! The
same Members Paul instructs folks in Romans 6 to yield to
Righteousness. How can anyone yield Members, within which dwells
the
law of Sin, ~Wherein he is held in Captivity~... unto
Righteousness? When someone is in Captivity folks that means he is a
24/7 possession of his Captor! Like a Prisoner of War. The POW does not
have the luxury of taking trips back & forth between his own forces
and his Captor whenever he wants to. Nonsense! When someone becomes a
Captive, as in POW he stays a Captive of the enemy until he is set
free. Look up Strong's #163. The "struggle with remaining corruption"
people would have us believe that a Christian can traipse back &
forth between his Captor and his own side whenever he wants to. There
is just no way to avoid
the dilemma of such a contradiction. The only possible answer is Romans
7 is describing an unregenerate man.
2Co 10:5 casting down imaginations, and ~every~ high thing
that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing
~every~ thought into captivity... {{aichmalotizo
aheekh-mal-o-tid’-zo ... Strong's #163, same word in Romans
7:23...}} to the obedience of Christ;
Does that sound like a description of the man in Romans 7?
