                            COMMENTARY

  If sin has dominion over you then it is a proof positive that you -are- under the law & therefore under condemnation! Conversely, he who has come under grace by way of the New Birth is no longer under the dominion of sin. Indeed the only way one can come under grace is by way of a radical break from the dominion of sin. One cannot be under the law & under grace at the same time. Neither can one be under the dominion of sin and at the same time be under grace! Which one is the guy in Romans 7 under? Well I'm here to tell ya that sin certainly has dominion over the poor chap in Romans 7! There's just no way around it folks. The guy in Romans 6 is just not the same guy as in Romans 7.
