Wherefore; Therefore; Because of This.  Wherefore What? Therefore What? Because of What?   Because of the fact that Abraham Believed the Propositional Statements uttered by GOD!  ~That's~ "Wherefore"! On ~That~ basis Abe was Justified! No Mystical "experience" that cannot be described in words. No "encounter" that cannot be described in words either. No "trusting" or "resting" on Jesus which is void of Doctrinal content. No "closing with Christ", a phrase from the puritans which means who knows what? But by ~Believing~ what God ~Said~ to him. Abraham ~Believed~ God and it was Imputed to him for Righteousness; verse 3.

Therefore... Christian Salvation comes to pass by way of Believing in the Propositional Statements of the Bible! That and that alone is what it means to "believe in Jesus"! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.... means to believe what He said!  His Teachings; His Doctrine.  2Jo_1:9.

Christianity is First and Foremost a religion of the Mind and Intellect. Juices... Feelings & Emotions follow, but they are ~~Not~~ the basis of the Christian religion. Faith and Faith Alone is. One may have all the Experiences, Encounters, Emotional Highs he wants to but the Scriptures declare plain and simple that without Faith it is utterly impossible to please God; and Faith is a function of the mind and intellect, not the juices! Christians have the ~~Mind~~ of Christ, not the emotions!
