                                  COMMENTARY

Here is a good example of a generic comparison. See 1Ti 1:15. This verse cannot mean that there are -No- righteous people on the face of the earth. That contradicts such vss as Luke 1:6. To demonstrate using logic;  

tf = therefore.  "men" includes both male & female.

All men are unrighteous
All Christians are men  tf 
All Christians are unrighteous.

No men are righteous
All Christians are men tf
No Christians are righteous

Is Moses a man?

When we say "All" men the term must be qualified by the universe of discourse. Otherwise we end up with unrighteous men in heaven. By the term "all men" we mean all UNREGENERATE men; or all men by natural birth. Otherwise we end up in false doctrine.
