COMMENTARY
Some use this passage to show absolutely no re-marriage after divorce.
The passage speaks to both husband & wife as committing adultery.
However... if you look closely we can see that this passage is a "one
sided affair". In both cases it charges the divorcER with sin but says
nothing of the divorcEE! Is the divorcEE in sin or not if they remarry?
Answer; After some research.. Yes! Remarriage is not sanctioned by
Messiah unless the spouse dies. Getting a "divorce" by worldly
standards does not dissolve a marriage. What it does do is declare one,
or both parties unsaved. It doesn’t matter how much they chant
the Name of Jesus... unless they repent and reconcile they have -no
ground- to claim they are saved. One person I met went so far as to
claim the Holy Spirit told her to divorce her husband. Pure Blasphemy!
But this is the junk that results from all the false doctrine
that’s circulating the Evangelicl Community. God have mercy on
us. See commentery on Genesis 3:1
