It doesn't say   PARTS of days or PARTS of NIGHTS!!!
It says..... THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS!!!!!

If they were not 3 literal days AND THREE LITERAL NIGHTS... then the Creation was NOT 6 LITERAL DAYS and 6 LITERAL NIGHTS and the Theistic evolutionists win!!!  You see folks, when you deny a word, or a verse of Scripture, you're not just quibbling over a few letters here & there. No;  What you're doing is denying Christianity and calling GOD a liar!!! This is the exact same thing Satan did in the garden! He monkeyed with God's word and guess what the result is when you do that... Death!
