COMMENTARY
This is crystal clear testimony of the Holy Spirit that the Law
was ~CHANGED!~ And why was it necessary that the Law should be changed?
Because the Levitical Priesthood was of the law and no one could become
a priest unless he was of the tribe of Levi. But Messiah sprang not
from the tribe of Levi but of Judah, of which Moses spoke nothing of a
priest. Therefore the law of necessity had to be changed otherwise the
Lord Jesus Christ was an illegal priest! And as such He could not be
the Messiah! And so ladies and gentlemen, whenever anybody attempts to
maintain the Mosaic law, i.e. the 10 commandments and make them
applicable under the New Covenant they are, in effect denying the
Priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ; which is in effect to deny the
Gospel!
Can a person who denies the Gospel be a Christian?
He who insists that he is still under the 10 commandments
necessarily forces himself back under the Levitical Priesthood...which
Priesthood could -never- take away sins. He is removing himself from
any and all association with the Great High Priest the Lord Jesus
Christ and in so doing he is relinquishing any and all hope of
salvation for there is No Other Name given among men whereby we -must-
be saved!
As well, if the Law was changed then that Law cannot be the eternal, UNCHANGEABLE Law of God!
