                                      COMMENTARY

What "law" was contrary to me wherein I was lost in my sin? Answer; It certainly was not the so-called "ceremonial" law because I never was a Jew under the Theocracy of the Old Economy. It was the law of God which I was in violation of... and which manifested my enmity against God Himself, to which it was impossible for me to be subject to. It was the Holy Standard of Righteousness manifest in the Holy Character of Almighty God which I was in violation of both in my character and conduct. It matters not how that law was expressed; If God said "thou shalt not" I said... I shall so! If He said "Thou shalt" I said "I shall not". Therefore I stood condemned under the wrath of a Holy God. That’s the "law" that was taken away by Christ nailing it to His cross... ALL of it. See Eph 2:15

Now... if covenant theologians want to say it was the "ceremonial" law that was nailed to the cross then they now have painted themselves into a corner because the context clearly says that the sabbath was a part of that which was nailed to the cross... thereby making the sabbath a ceremonial law and by such they must needs concede that the sabbath is done away in Christ! On the other hand if they agree that it was God's -Moral- law which was nailed to the cross then they are locked in to admitting that the sabbath is indeed done away because they say the sabbath is a moral law. Such gross false doctrine is just a manifestation of a greater doctrine of darkness which is that the moral law, which CTers say is the 10 Cs is -still in force- because as the "eternal unchangeable law" it is binding on all men in all ages and can never be done away or abolished. Well folks I'm here to tell ya that if the moral law of God was not nailed to the cross and put away then there can be no salvation because we are all still under its condemning power.  To say that the sabbath is still in force is to declare that there is -no salvation- and ~That's~ a denial of the Gospel!
