                                     COMMENTARY

  Thou shalt persuade... or... Thou shalt *fully* persuade!  The verb is Piel Intensive!

What God do you believe in? The God of the Bible is determined to destroy the king of Israel. He holds an assembly of the entire population of heaven to see exactly how this should come to pass. Several suggestions are offered. Then...comes before the Lord...the thrice holy God who hates all sin...comes...a spirit of LIES! His plan is to entice the king to his death by becoming a lying spirit in the mouths of the prophets! The prophets ladies & gentlemen...the spiritual ‘leaders’...hot shots who think they are the leaders of the people of God and speak the word of God to the people. A LYING spirit sets himself before a holy God and says I will go and make the prophets LIE!

Should not the courts of heaven turn pitch black with the holy anger of a God who hates all sin especially LYING... at the sight of this lying spirit? Should God not recoil in holy indignation and tear this spirit to shreds in the deepest pit of everlasting hell for even daring to come into His Holy  presence???

But God does no such thing folks. To the contrary... He tells this wicked spirit....  "Go head...!  Go do your thing. Go and LIE!" A Holy God who hates all sin... sends a lying spirit on a mission of lying in order to entice the creature to certain death!

And the Arminians tell us their ‘god’ ...  LOVES everybody???

2Thes 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
